Books to Read...

So I've been catching up on reading lately and here are some of the latest books I've finished...
My husband and I finally got around to watching Twilight and now I completely understand the frenzy about this series. The movie was enchanting and the actors were truly captivating. I couldn't help travel to Barnes and Noble the next day and buy the remaining 3 books. New Moon was read in 2 nights - I just couldn't put it down so you can imagine my excitement for the movie release in October. I've always been a Romeo and Juliet fan from the early 1968 production and the the 1996 production, so the familiar plot of forbidden love is what kept me hooked.
I didn't move through this book as quickly as New Moon, but once I finally finished, I have to admit it was pretty good. Definitely worth reading, just not the most captivating-can't-put-it-down read. There's a lot of focus on fashion which I love along with the familiar status fight of a young single woman in New York Society.
I just love the style Jonathan Adler so this book help me understand his style, tastes, lifestyle and background. It's written with whimsy and a little humor with fabulous photography and product features.

A wonderful glossary of decorating styles, furniture silhouettes and eras.
Love this style!

Oh that Domino book is just so charming...and I adore the 1968 Romeo and Juliet. I always remember my mother liking it because it was the first rendition that had actors of the appropriate age.

I watched "Twilight" for the first time on Saturday evening. Wow, that Edward Cullen... Since I'm not a tween girl, nor are my children tweens, I had not yet jumped on the "Twilight" bandwagon. But, just like you, I can now see what all the fuss is about!
